Joe Ryan's Views major Party sponsored bailouts that Duncan Hunter and the Democrats have voted into law. Also Joe Ryan expresses his Views regarding the reform bill that's currently being negotiated
FIRST, THE TRUTH ABOUT WHICH OF THE TWO MAJOR PARTIES IS TO BLAME FOR THE BAILOUTS:
Joe Ryan is amazed that partisan from the Republican and Democratic Party's accuse each other's political Party of being the Party that sponsored the successive Wall Street bailouts that occurred in 2008 and 2009; so before a rational discussion can take place, some FACTS need to be Reviewed
1) THE FIRST BAILOUT STARTS THE BALL ROLLING: The First Bailout was largely a creation of Republican representatives working with the Bush administartion, along with some help from the Democrats in Congress. Ultimately, it was George Bush's signature that finalized the creation of the 'Mother of All Bailouts'. The Fannie Mae bailout is referred to as the 'other of All Bailouts', since, if the first attempt to steal public funds for a bailout had been soundly defeated, others would not have follow, and we wouldn't be contemplating any now.
2) DUNCAN HUNTER VOTED YES ON FIRST BAILOUT: Duncan Hunter voter for - what's been called - the Mother of all Bailouts. He voted Yes in July of 2008, enabling the Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac, open-ended bailout to be signed into law by George Bush. The initial cost of the bill was estimated to be 700 billion (about 11 times our annual education budget), but that amount has balooned, since, on Christmas eve when all were distracted, the bailout was expanded by 400 billion dollars (in new shaky loan guarantees).
3) DEMOCRATS GO IT ALONE AS REPUBLICAN PARTY NOW PRETENDS THEY OPPOSE BAILOUTS: The Republicans read the political Tea Leaves, and reveresed course after they sponsored the Fannie Mae bailout, leaving the Democrats in Congress to pass the next two bailouts, without any material support from the Republicans.
CONCLUSION: The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are equally responsible for the Bailouts! The Republicans got the ball rolling - with Duncan Hunter's help - and the Democrats have taken the bailout ball , and they'll run with it as far as we let them go. There's now talk of a new bailout of firms that sold municipal bonds, and another for broke pension funds. The madness won't end until voters get rid of anyone from either party who gifts the taxpayers money away to crooks and incompetent capitalist, who should be digging ditches and making little rocks out of big ones, instead of running Wall street.
The only solution: Get rid of all 435, and Vote for Joe Ryan and other candidates who would never stand for or support unconstitutional, free-market destroying bailouts.
THE SO-CALLED, FINANCIAL REFORM BILL:
Until a bill passes the Senate and negotiations conclude regarding what will finally emerge from Congress, it's hard for Joe Ryan or anyone else to draw concrete conclusions regarding waht the bill will do; however, if media reports can be belived, the bill is farce and scam that:
1) Institutionalizes bailouts,
2) gives the Federal Reserve Bank and it's partners at firms like Goldman Sachs, more power over the economy,
3) Allows the derivatives market to continue for many more years
SOLUTION: Get rid of most or all of the 435 sitting members of the House, and all 100 Senators ASAP; and replace them all with persons from the community, who care about the community, more than they care about being a big-shot within the DC social circuit, or lining their pockets with compensation and gold-plated benefits. If elected, Joe Ryan will only accept the median income of the District as compensation, and he'll pay for his own health insurance out of his salary. He would read bills and contact constituents, while other reps work the DC social circuit, and hang out with lobbyist on 'K' Street.
THERE WON'T EVEN BE A MEANINGFUL ELECTION CONTEST IN NOVEMBER WITHOUT JOE RYAN ON THE BALLOT, SINCE THE DEMOCRAT HAS ALREADY THROWN IN THE TOWEL:
Joe Ryan and Duncan Hunter participated in the biggest parade in San Diego this past weekend (July 4th, Independence Day)), but the Democrat took a pass on meeting and greeting 40,000 voters. What does that say about his intentions and why he is in the race. He seems to be going though the motions just to fill a spot on the ballot, so attention doesn't fall outside of the two major party candidates. The party isn't giving him the usual money to run, so he's just there doing nothing. In the primary, he just put up a few signs around La Mesa and El Cajon, while ignoring the rest of the County.
Without someone like Joe Ryan in the race, there won't be any candidate able to effectively challenge the way the two major party's behave during and after election season. Without Joe Ryan on the ballot, the election contest for the 52nd District race won't be an election, it will be a meaningless, boring, walkover, devoid of interesting debate. Duncan Hunter will stomp the Democrat by a relatively gigantic margin, without ever having to explain his family's support for the Fannie Mae bailout, Wall Street's deregulation of the derivatives market & deep water drilling off Pacific Beach.
Voters can ensure that the two major party candidates will be confronted about selling the nation out, time and time again, by going to the ballot-petition page, before July 15th (where you can print out a ballot petition form). The page contains complete instructions on how to fill in the ballot petition, along with a mailing address for completed petitions.
