TAXES and The IRS
Joe Ryan believes that the tax structure has been tilted in favor of the persons and entities that can afford to Pay Democratic party and Republican party representatives the most bribery. Nowadays, that's hedge fund managers, and other non-producing speculators and economic leaches that have attached themselves to the underbelly of capitalism. There's no justification for the uneven tax rates that allow the Hedge Fund investors to pay at a 15% tax rate, while almost everybody else pays at a much higher rate. The entire tax evasion and tax shelter industries, along with all the accompanying accountants, attorneys and other enablers do nothing at all for anyone; but they drain resources from society at a frightening pace. While Joe Ryan has nothing against accountants; he understands that the more resources society reserves for bean counting, the less resources we'll have for more critical chores. Less accountants, equals more Doctors, Nurses, Engineers, and machinists. So, first of all, Joe Ryan thinks we need to start concentrating on making the system much simpler to deal with, and much more equitable (for all tax payers).
Joe Ryan realizes that most Americans cannot envision a functioning United States Democracy that does not include the IRS; However, with the Democrats and Republican Party hacks purged by the voters from power by 2012; huge savings could be realized, as government shrinkage would become the norm. If we charge the Globalist for the myriad of ways they use and abuse the US government, and if we begin to recover some of the GCS members secreted funds, then we can shrink the government down to a size where reasonable import and excise taxes, utilized with flexibility to protect particularly vulnerable economic sectors, could take the place of our Income Tax.
Joe Ryan is a small businessman who has had to work almost non-stop to keep up with the IRS's outrageous and unfair demands. As many small business-persons know, every time a significant amount of capital is built up, it often gets delivered-up to the IRS. How many small business persons have already been run aground by IRS abuses? Meanwhile, the big players wield armies of lawyers, accountants, and lobbyist, in order to fend off paying their own fair share of the nation's tax toll. Reform is easy to imagine, but hard to implement with the Democratic and Republican Parties standing in the way. Joe Ryan does not want to inhibit true capitalism by helping the democrats and republicans pass more taxes; but he does want to ensure that everybody pays an amount that is fair, and equitable (as compared to other individuals and similarly situated businesses of all sizes).
THERE WON'T EVEN BE A MEANINGFUL ELECTION CONTEST IN NOVEMBER WITHOUT JOE RYAN ON THE BALLOT, SINCE THE DEMOCRAT HAS ALREADY THROWN IN THE TOWEL:
Joe Ryan and Duncan Hunter participated in the biggest parade in San Diego this past weekend (July 4th, Independence Day)), but the Democrat took a pass on meeting and greeting 40,000 voters. What does that say about his intentions and why he is in the race. He seems to be going though the motions just to fill a spot on the ballot, so attention doesn't fall outside of the two major party candidates. The party isn't giving him the usual money to run, so he's just there doing nothing. In the primary, he just put up a few signs around La Mesa and El Cajon, while ignoring the rest of the County.
Without someone like Joe Ryan in the race, there won't be any candidate able to effectively challenge the way the two major party's behave during and after election season. Without Joe Ryan on the ballot, the election contest for the 52nd District race won't be an election, it will be a meaningless, boring, walkover, devoid of interesting debate. Duncan Hunter will stomp the Democrat by a relatively gigantic margin, without ever having to explain his family's support for the Fannie Mae bailout, Wall Street's deregulation of the derivatives market & deep water drilling off Pacific Beach.
Voters can ensure that the two major party candidates will be confronted about selling the nation out, time and time again, by going to the ballot-petition page, before July 15th (where you can print out a ballot petition form). The page contains complete instructions on how to fill in the ballot petition, along with a mailing address for completed petitions.
